Buses

Buses are the most affordable but least comfortable way to reach Lithuania, with direct buses from any European country. Lithuania has a well-developed road network throughout the country and the road conditions are better than in other nearby countries. The complete duration of highways, national and regional roads is over 21000 kms, and the total length of all the roads is more than 67000 kms.

The Vilnius bus station is situated in a convenient place, right next to the railway station, just 10 minutes from the old town at Sodu 22. This is a perfect chance for tourists to visit the most beautiful place of the city within several hours. Passenger facilities consist of left baggage, a pharmacy, ATM, Iki supermarket, bistro and sandwich bar.

Services function to all major Lithuanian towns and cities as well as outside the country to Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Germany and as far as the UK. There are also busses to cities including Berlin, Gdansk, Kaliningrad, Minsk, Moscow, Prague, Riga, Tallinn, Vienna and Warsaw and also to all major Lithuanian towns. The main operators are Euro lines and Ecolines.

Tickets are bought at windows Nos. 1 to 6 and these are open between 5:30am to 5:30pm. There is also an Information Center with English speaking staff which is open 6:00am to 9:00pm.
